My Thoughts:
This is the second book in the last couple of weeks with themes of teen pregnancy, mom secrets- past sins coming to haunt you. This one hits all the related themes: abortion, adoption, and keeping the baby, as well as all the related hard decisions and emotional results. I connected with many of the characters and felt for all the women in the book. I personally wanted a little bit more in all of the stories, but because they were all woven together some felt a little abbreviated. I feel that the strategy of using so many different views delivers a powerful message. It really makes the reader think about the many different sides, inputs, and impacts of teen pregnancy, adoption, infertility. It was well done and made me feel all the feels. Hope is my theme and hope often has a bittersweetness to it that makes it all the stronger, just like this book.
