Always There: Reflections for Moms on God's Presence
This is a compilation of devotional thoughts and inspirational stories by a number of women, including: Ann Voskamp, Hayley DiMarco, Kathi Lipp, Renee Swope, and many others. It is a wonderful book full of real stories about mothering that I think we can all relate. It is comforting to read about other women with the same struggles that I have. It is even more comforting to read about finding the answer through the Lord!! These short stories were gentle reminders to put God first in mothering, to take time to enjoy your children, to stop comparing the way you feel with the way other mothers/families look, etc. Each entry can be read in mere minutes, which is often the only time we have!! I consider this book a treasure and would highly recommend it. It would make a great gift, too!!!
