I loved A Hope Undaunted by Julie Lessman!! It was my first book by this incredible author, and I look forward to reading her Daughters of Boston series that precedes this one!

Romances are often slightly predictable, but that is what readers love: the girl getting his guy! In this book, though, while you may think you can guess what will happen, there are a number of twists and turns in the plot that keep you wondering. The characters are believable and lovable. The historical setting adds depth to the plot, which includes romance, love and loss, and friendships and family relationships. It also includes beautiful messages on prayer and giving your life to the Lord. There are strong Christian characters who share the love and peace of the Savior with others who are seeking and struggling. This is my favorite kind of book: one that is well-written with a strong Christian message. I am so excited that I have three more of her books on my shelf waiting for me! I would highly recommend this book and this author.
