Harvest of Rubies

This is a fantastic book.  The journey that Sarah takes toward relying on the Lord is incredible.  She finds her worth in Him; she learns who she is.  It is a beautiful and powerful theme!

Sarah is the cousin of the prophet Nehemiah, and although unlikely she becomes a trusted scribe to the queen.  After proving herself, the queen rewards her with an arranged marriage to a Persian noble, Darius.  Through various trials and personal battles, Sarah takes a journey both physically and spiritually.

I read this one a while ago, but I loved it.  It has strong characters, interesting settings, relationships, action, and suspense.  I really appreciated the spiritual growth that Sarah experienced through the events in the story.
