Love in a Broken Vessel

Mesu Andrews has a heart for God's Word and a gift for story-telling.  This combination is truly God-given and I believe that God will us her talent and bless her skill!   I have read all of her books and loved every one.  Here are links to my previous reviews: Love Amid the Ashes and Love's Sacred Song.  I also had the privilege of interviewing her last week!  You can read that, here.  

 Love in a Broken Vessel is a story of Hosea and Gomer.  Hosea is called to marry a prostitute (Gomer) and love her as God loves His people, forgiving her multiple times for returning to her sin.  I was in tears from the beginning of this book.  What a beautiful portrayal of Christ's love for his bride.  The characters are intimately portrayed and the story is detailed.  I felt like I was watching a movie!  Most importantly, the book really made me reflect on my sin and betrayal of God and his unending love.  It increased my desire to study The Word and know My Lord!  I especially wanted to read all the books of the prophets included in this story, like Micah, Isaiah and Hosea.  I highly recommend this book and this author!  Great story with a wonderful theme and powerful impact!!
