When Bekah's marriage fails, she returns to her college town of Whitman and takes a job and apartment at "the Bait Shop." Miss Ida and the rest of the staff become somewhat of a found family, supporting her as she reinvents herself- but is Bekah 2.0 who she really wants to be. As Bekah finds herself, old mysteries are brought to light. This book touches on heartache, race relations, faith, and second chances. 

With great writing, strong characters and emotions, I am a fan of this book and this first-time author. And good news: I just discovered that Book 2 of the Sweet Friendship series, Caragin Farm is out now! Ona Mae's Deli and Bait Shop does stand alone, so you can start there. But if you are like me, you will enjoy the writing and the characters so much that you will want to grab the next one too!
