A Lasting Impression by Tamara Alexander
This is the third book by Tamera Alexander that I have read. See my review for Inheritance here. I have enjoyed them all, but in my opinion her writing has gotten even better. In A Lasting Impression, Claire Laurent is an artist with a desire to create a masterpiece. She starts out in an unfortunate situation that only gets worse. Being suddenly uprooted from New Orleans, she heads to Nashville alone. Once there, she meets an interesting man and lands a promising job at Belmont Mansion, but can she keep her past a secret. Written with beautiful prose and distinct characters, the narrative flows quickly and smoothly. Everything about it is memorable: time period, settings, characters, theme. I would highly recommend Tamera Alexander as an author and especially this book: A Lasting Impression.
Thanks to Litfuse who provided my review copy in exchange for my honest opinions.
