True Status

True Status is a novel about Billy Yates, a middle aged man who comes face to face with his mortality. Between encounters with an angel and a demon, visions and dreams, Billy begins an earnest quest to find himself and to find salvation. Billy finds truths in the Bible that provide him with healing, forgiveness, and ultimate salvation. 

This book is filled with scripture references to help deliver a strong message of the hope we have in Jesus. While I struggled with the format/font and some of the writing was stilted, I appreciated the plot and overall enjoyed the book.  At different times, I was moved to both prayer and tears, each a mark of good book. The plot follows Billy as he seeks truth and salvation and ultimately finds it in the only true source: Jesus. First book of 2024, I will pass on to my sister to read and recommend to others.
