The Last Man: Book Review

    The Last Man

The Last Man is a historical fiction based on a true crime event in 1927: the Santa Claus Bank Robbery.  Four men work together to rob a bank, one is dressed as Santa Claus. The robbery does not go as planned and ends with gun fire, police chase, deaths and arrests.  The story line follows each man, as their story lines travel in vastly different directions.

SLIGHT SPOILER AHEAD: The Last Man is a story of hope. As the story moves toward conclusion and the final man involved in this bank robbery experiences grace from unexpected places, he acknowledges that gift and grows because of it.  He learns to stop running (from punishment and from kindness), to accept his consequences and make the most of every situation.  A beautiful message delivered in an interesting historical event.
